Job Title:Assistant Manager
Full Time:Full-Time - 40 hrs./wk.
Hours:School Year -Monday-Friday (approx. 1:00 p.m. -- 9:00 p.m.)
Summer -- Daytime Hours
Reports To:Account Manager
Manage small cleaning crews in multiple site locations including customer and employee relations. Maintain highest level of employee performance and quality standards.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management of Cleaning:
Manage school-year and summer cleaning according to client and company specifications.
Manage budgets and payroll for each account in a cost effective manner.
Manage equipment and supplies for accounts -- both purchases and maintenance.
Evaluate accounts to improve employee utilization and efficiency.
Management of Customer:
Foster a relationship with the customer which is conducive to mutual respect, honesty, and fairness.
Provide the customer and their communities with a level of service that exceeds expectations.
Schedule and conduct regular inspections with customers.
Represent Scarlet & Gray Cleaning Services, Inc. in a professional manner.
Management of Staff:
Recruit and train employees for school-year and summer cleaning staff.
Conduct regular employee evaluations.
Provide employees a safe and respectful working environment.
Solicit and encourage employee creativity and input.
Attend relevant training and organizational meetings at office.
Open to a variety of tasks and responsibilities including some hands on as needed.
Substitute for absent or vacant cleaning positions.

Excellent problem solving capabilities
Associate Degree or Equivalent Experience
Management or related Business Discipline Preferred
1-2 years experience in supervisory or leadership role.
Experience with cleaning supplies / equipment a plus.
