Are you an experienced IT troubleshooter looking for a great opportunity? Spider Strategies, a small but growing DC-based software company, is in need of a technical support specialist with 2+ years experience to provide help desk and technical support.

Please note the following requirements:
- Clearable to receive Top Secret DoD Security Clearance
- Bachelor's Degree from a 4 year university
- 2+ years experience in either Training or Consulting
- Excellent Speaking / Writing skills
- Superb organizational abilities
- Home Office with high speed Internet access
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently

Required Skills:
- Excellent Troubleshooting skills
- Windows and Linux Administration experience
- Familiarity with MySQL or MS SQL Server
- Strong SQL-writing ability
- Familiarity with a programming language (preferably Java)
- Positive, upbeat, motivated demeanor

Helpful Skills:
- Web Server administration (Apache Tomcat, IIS)
- Technical experience with Batch Scripts, LDAP, Email Servers
- Help Desk experience
- Management experience
- Familiarity with the Balanced Scorecard and/or Business Intelligence
- Technical Writing Experience
- Experience in sales and/or building customer relationships

Immediate Duties Include:
- Lead Technical Member of Help Desk team
- Answer technical questions for customers and internal staff.
- Troubleshoot software/system issues on our customer hosting servers
- Identify, troubleshoot, and report software bugs to development team
- Provide remote assistance to customers for installations/upgrades
- Write SQL queries for troubleshooting problems and custom reports
- Evaluate and document customer enhancement requests
- Provide technical responses for RFPs
- Develop technical documentation as needed
