Position supports all personal financial transactions for a New York based business owner with real estate properties in MA. Successful candidate will be considered based on experience with general accounting principles and familiarity with real estate transactions. Reports directly to business owner with transactional relationship with internal corporate controller as warranted. This hourly paid position estimated to be 20 to 30 hours per month and could be generally an off-site position.

Essential Functions of the position:

Manages all transactions of owner's real estate and personal expenses.
Managing personal checking and investment accounts.
Pay all personal bills.
Pay appropriate tax bills and mortgages for all properties owned by business person. Makes all deposits for payments received from tenants.
Interact with existing finance department at owner's business sites (2) to ensure all personal bills are dealt with properly.
Prepare accounts for outside CPA for tax reporting purposes.
Do year-end closing of accounts.


Minimum 5 years experience
Minimum of an Associate's Degree in accounting.
Skilled in use of QuickBooks.
Possess high level of confidentiality and business acumen.
Excellent communication and cooperative spirit.
Ability to work independently.
