Sales Assistant / Logistics Coordinator / Customer Service Rep.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Our Company is a privately held agri-business based in the Pacific Northwest. We supply a unique food ingredient to customers primarily in North America and Europe. These products are grown under contract by farmers in Oregon and Washington, and then processed at our facility in the Columbia Basin near Tri-Cities. Our products must meet very high quality standards from the farm through to the consumer. This position will be responsible to manage all customer service and logistics activities required to fulfill contracts, including order entry, production schedule tracking, sampling, creating shipping documents and coordinating all shipments to customers. This position is based at the production facility near Tri-Cities, WA.
REPORTS: This position reports directly to the General Manager.
EDUCATION: Degree in Logistics, Business or Economics desired.
EXPERIENCE: 5+ years of sales assistant, customer service and/or logistics required.

Experience working with MS excel, QuickBooks, or other ERP systems.
Strong knowledge of logistics, inventory management, shipping and sample tracking.
Experience with food production and food regulations.
Experience or knowledge of HACCP or other food safety and quality certifications.
Knowledge of agriculture systems helpful.
TASKS TO BE PERFORMED:
Communication with customers to accept order releases, and schedule with QC and Production depts.
Create sample documentation and coordinate samples with QC dept.
Enter orders, create shipment documentation and maintain shipping schedule up to date.
Create sales orders after shipments are complete. Create invoices for international customers.
Coordinate all customer documentation needs.
