Mental Health Intake and Access Specialist
Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare (www.cascadiabhc.org) is a major nonprofit provider of behavioral health services in the state of Oregon. Cascadia is a Recovery-oriented, trauma-informed service provider for persons with serious mental illnesses and addictions. Cascadia seeks to become consumer-involved, consumer-engaged, and consumer-driven. Cascadia furthermore seeks to increase its trauma-sensitive services. This position requires a QMHP credential (Qualified Mental Health Professional-master's degree in a behavioral science field). The candidate must have experience working with children, adults and individuals with substance abuse diagnoses. Good assessment and diagnostic skills are critical for this position.
This Counselor III works as part of a larger intake and access team, serving four outpatient sites, while supporting a Trauma Informed Care environment. With the high prevalence of trauma among individuals receiving mental health services, it is required the Counselor III understand the effects of trauma on health, coping, and other aspects of the lives of those we serve..
