Fender Blacktop Jazz: An offset J bass body with a narrow J bass neck but two Precision pickups in the J positions. Turn down the bridge pup for a 99% accurate p-bass sound, blend them together for your choice in unique sounds. There's nothing that sounds quite like dual P.

Jet black body with three ply, black-white-black pick guard.
Fender Hi-Mass bridge.
Fender Blacktop Precision pups.
Alder body.
Maple neck, rosewood fingerboard. C shape, 9.5" radius, 1.5" nut, 20 frets.
Made in the Mexico plant, not the Far East. Often considered to be the among the best of Fender's MIM production.

Works great, good shape except for a dent on each side of the body's curves from shipping. Doesn't effect sound/playability. Frets are nice and level, neck is in perfection, strung with rounds and plays like a champ.

They're no longer making the Blacktop basses, and there's not many out there. Even with the dents, these are gonna be collectable and unique in Fender's back catalogue.
