Our Salt Lake City Office has an excellent opportunity available for an Office Manager. We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic team player who can also work independently in our fast-paced work environment. Ability to multi-task and handle quickly changing priorities are essential for success. The position will report to General Manager of the San Francisco Branch. Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Primary Duties:
General Office Management:
Responsible for all aspects of daily Air and Ocean operations, sales, revenue, customer service and administration of the Salt Lake City Office.
Ensure all operations are conducted in a safe manner and in compliance with all applicable regulations and standards. (TSA Facility Management, Safety Coordinator.)
Analyze Profit & Loss to achieve CLIENT's business goals. Attend monthly manager revenue and P/L meetings and generate reports (Monthly Business Reports, and Quarterly Manager Review Reports.) Manage existing vendors that provide local transportation services - (trucking, cartage, etc.)
A/R and A/P record keeping and review balance worksheet. Responsible for collecting unpaid invoices within credit term. Proactively manage and monitor costs. (Review, process and approve purchase orders.)
Sales:
Solicit and develop new accounts by canvassing through sales leads from local and overseas resources and information mining.
Maintain existing customers and develop new business (Air Import, Air Export, Domestic NEWLINKS, E-Pelican). Participating in yearly service bids -- large scale accounts. Generate quotations using database quotation system.
Liaise with other sales executives locally, nationally and/or internationally (as necessary) and plan strategies for securing new accounts.
Responsibility to maintain new account profitability, and work to increase profitability over period of shipments.
Operations:
Ensure excellent customer service is carried out to each account and consistent quality service is maintained for the customer. Initiate new customer documentation evaluation and AS400 set up process.
Prepare necessary documents, AWBS, B/L and issue billing invoices (Air Import, Air Export and Domestic NEWLINKS).
Employee Relations:
Manage a small staff of 5-6 employees. Oversee and conduct employee annual and period performance evaluations, to ensure employees' alignment, capability and engagement with CLIENT's strategy and goals.
Provide guidance, resources, training and other support to allow the staff to perform at a high level.
Quality & Compliance:
Instill and demonstrate CLIENT's commitment at all organizational levels to adhere to the "Corporate Quality Policy." Implement ongoing audit programs at the office to develop and follow written operations procedures to enhance overall service levels, retain ISO certification to achieve continuous improvement.

Other assignments given by General Manager depending on the needs of the department.

Skills/Qualifications: (The following are minimum requirements):
Minimum 5 years' experience in the international freight forwarding and logistic industry (80% Air, 20% Ocean) with substantial operations background and management experience.
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of multi-modal cargo operations.
Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills required.
Critical decision making skills required.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent desired.
Sales experience selling Domestic and International Air and Ocean Freight services desired.
Proven ability to manage a high quality, efficient, and cost effective operation.
Ability to analyze, initiate, and implement plans to achieve budgeted and forecasted goals.
Strong leadership presence, motivational skills, and customer service oriented.
Must demonstrate working knowledge of accounting, logistics, pricing, and information technology.
Good PC skills with proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and AS400.
Physical requirements:
Ability to work under stress and fast pace work environment.
