The QA Recall Specialist will assist the Recall Coordinator team as required:
To perform analysis of data to assess recall impact on the business and its customers and communicates to team members. Creates communication documents from approved templates with instructions to warehouse locations, customers and internal teams to ensure the necessary actions are taken. Initiates a recall log entry and tracking tools and/or files records accordingly.
To perform analysis of customer sales tracings and creates a listing(s) of customers including mailing/contact information. The listing(s) include customer information from both active and prior business transactions identified per the timeframe outlined in the supplier's distributor communication letter.
To create customer facing letters providing a synopsis of the recall event, the product(s) affected and instructions to the customer describing what to do if they are in possession of the affected product and contact information for questions relating to details of the recall. Instructions for product return, disposal and credit for loss are also provided. Performs required tasks facilitate customer mailings using internal or third party resources as applicable. Completes required documentation, files records in repository and/or posts applicable documents to the intranet site for stakeholder reference.
The QA Recall Specialist: may analyze data using computer system inquiries and or database applications, to make process decisions; may work on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations; may set up and maintain logs and files, prepare and sort mail, perform word-processing assignments, maintain spreadsheets, proofread, research information and complete forms or compile reports; is able to research basic issues, works on directed assignments, organizes information to support the recalls team, is able to communicate with internal and external contacts on routine issues, and addresses stakeholder inquiries accordingly; normally receives no instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments and must function in a team work environment.
In addition, the QA Recall Specialist supports the continual development and maintenance of company Quality Assurance systems, records, and programs in support of its related business functions
Proficiency with MS Office Suite software
Familiar with data analysis tools / Oracle database / JD Edwards
