The Armed Services YMCA is currently hiring for a Full Time Master Teacher. Must have CDA or higher. Pay is $9 per hour with benefits to include fully funded retirement after 2 years of service. Please apply in person at 900 NW Cache Road, Lawton between 9am-5pm Monday-Friday.

JOB SUMMARY: The Master Teacher position is a full-time with full benefits as outlined in the ASYMCA personnel policy. The Master Teacher is a key role player in the delivery of the ASYMCA'S mission and ministry to Fort Sill families. The Master Teacher assumes the full responsibility of an assigned age group of the ASYMCA'S childcare program. The ASYMCA's childcare program is a unique blend of part time and full time care of children from 6 weeks to kindergarten age. The Master Teacher must possess the ability to supervise the caregivers under her, be a team player and interact well with both children and parents.

Job Expectations/Requirements:
The Master Teacher must be able to oversee the overall planning, implementation and evaluation of the childcare area assigned. Listed below are specific job expectations of the Master Teacher, however, this is not an exhaustive list.
1.Must have worked at least 3 years in a childcare setting
2.Have CDA or higher
3.Must be a caring, positive role model to the children and other staff members
4.Be able to develop weekly lesson plans that are age appropriate
5.Be able to assist Childcare Director with licensing and health department requirements
6.Be able to serve as Staff in Charge in the absence of the Executive Director, Center Director and Childcare Director
7.Support equivocally the agency, upper management and other Master Teachers
8.Care about success of our agency
9.Joyfully do what is asked and have a positive attitude
10.Care for and appreciate our clients, treat everyone equally
11.Be able to supervise, nurture and train people

The Master Teacher's responsibility is the overall supervision, planning, implementation, evaluation, and success of the childcare area assigned.
1.Supervising, nurturing and training of the childcare staff assigned
2.Planning and implementation of class curriculum and activities
3.Classroom appearance and attractiveness
4.Make sure daily sheets are filled out and sent home with child/children
5.Turn in supply list to Childcare Director weekly
6.Keep weekly lesson plan posted
7.Make sure incident/accident reports are filled out on anything that happens to a child in your care. Make sure they are signed by supervisor and a copy is given to the parents
8.Make sure your play areas are cleaned up properly after use
9.Make sure laundry is done per assigned times
10.Be responsible for room arrangement in interest areas
11.Anything the Childcare Director deems necessary
