Small but growing tax preparation firm that values work-life balance and a friendly office culture seeks a valued team member to work full-time during tax season (late January to mid-April) and part-time in the offseason.

Job Summary --

provide administrative support to 4 tax preparers
keep office organized and running smoothly
track workflow
answer, place and screen phone calls
greet clients
track and order office supplies
organize, scan and file documents
assemble and package tax returns
schedule client appointments, maintain appointment calendar
set up new clients
process incoming and outgoing mail and faxes
send out invoices
communicate with vendors
draft routine correspondence

Skills and requirements --

superior customer service skills required
ability to interact with clients in a professional, courteous and patient manner
capable of handling and protecting confidential information
reliable, self-motivated, able to work with little supervision
excellent interpersonal and communication skills
strong organization skills, attention to detail
basic knowledge of USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc. rules and procedures
tax office experience a plus

Technical Skills --

strong computer skills are essential, with the ability to troubleshoot
extremely proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word)
ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software applications
experience and knowledge of Lacerte tax software a plus
