Molly is a black lab that is 6 years old. Molly is also known as Missy. She has been raised by the same family since she was a puppy. The owner is surrendering Molly because she could no longer care for Molly due to the owner's physical illness. Owner is unable to provided Molly with the care she needs. SOCIALAZATION Molly has been around the ages 4 and up. She is very gentle and friendly around children. She enjoys endless pet strokes and the company of children. Molly can be very timid towards strangers, she barks and runs away from strangers that attempt to approach her. It takes Molly a few days get comfortable around strangers. During that time she just stays away mostly to herself. Around family members Molly is relaxed and affectionate. She follows family members around and lays next to them. BEHAVIOR Molly is very tolerant of all handling such as getting bath, having her nails trimmed, furniture being moved and having her coat brushed. She has never bitten or scratched people. She always waits to eliminate outside. She has never had an accident. She doesn't mind having her food bowl touched or removed while eating. She allows people to remove the toy from her mouth with no problem. FOR NEW FAMILIES TO KNOW Molly is described as mellow, active and affectionate. She loves to be around the family and enjoys being pet. Molly knows the commands sit, stay and down. She enjoys long walks and to lounge around the house. She is well behaved when left alone. She eats wet and soft food of any brand. DURING INTAKE Molly during intake was panting and a bit nervous. Her body was a bit tense. She allowed to be collared, photographed and scanned (positive). The dog managed to become soft and relaxed, when counselor offered water and treats.

I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 07/27/2015 from NY 11434, owner surrender reason stated was OWNER SICK.
