Mission of the position:
Provide leadership to Team Mates through the Metalsa culture to support our Customer

Main responsibilities:
?Coordinate and oversee rotation of production activities in the press area to ensure customers needs are met, and Monitor standardized work is being followed, and Metalsa Model (MOS and QWL)
?Establish production standards and monitor individual tech performance to ensure area goals are met
?Plan ahead changeovers to minimize disruption of production
?Work as a liaison between Press Tech's and Tooling Tech's to minimize downtime
?Prepare and present presentations to large and small groups
?Conduct effective evaluations and monitor the skill level of the press room Product Techs, and
Conduct training for Team Mates
?Gathering of information and auditing of daily reports
?Proactively improve safety in the plant to achieve plant goal of zero accidents
?Facilitate and develop topics for communication at daily safety meetings
?Champion the timely resolution of all safety concerns and / or near misses
?Work with maintenance to ensure all equipment has proper p.m. and is safe to operate
?Enforce all area and plant safety procedures
?Work closely with the quality area to create and maintain systems that insure quality products
?Support Team Mates in their efforts to consistently exceed customer expectations, maximize production and quality while minimizing downtime and scrap
?Communicate all potential quality concerns
?Enforce all area and plant quality procedures
?Maintain all customer and TS requirements
?Additional responsibilities as required -- this position is subject to change as the needs of the department change

Academic degree required by the position:
?High school degree / diploma
?2 years of post-high school education or combination of education and manufacturing experience

?Experience with automated manufacturing, stamping equipment, and press tooling
?Excellent communication, analytical, team and presentation skills
?Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
?Able to provide leadership in a professional manner
?Capacity to manage resources and activities in order to obtain results
?Able to work overtime with little or no notice and to change shifts

?Proficient computer skills/Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point)
?Knowledge of Processing systems
