I write for a popular financial media outlet, and I have developed an algorithm that beats the S&P 500 by a wide margin. The market is my life. I eat, sleep, and breathe it, so I knew exactly what metrics to include in the algo. My dilemma is that I can't get a hedge fund to believe me. So ... I potentially have the most valuable investment information in the world and it's sitting here collecting dust. This is frustrating.
I will never sell the algorithm (too valuable), but I will sell the results and explain how it works. It's designed to find the strongest and weakest underlying companies in the S&P 500, which then presents long and short opportunities. On the first back-test for last quarter, the highest-rated positions returned 81% (excluding dividends). This covered 35 stocks (11 long/24 short). When I loosened the parameters, the algo covered over 130 stocks total and returned 495% (excluding dividends).
These types of returns aren't sustainable, but they're possible, and I'm extremely confident that this algo will beat the S&P 500 on an annual basis, and by a wide margin. Adjustments will be made quarterly. The best part about this algo is that the risk is spread out. Therefore, any irrational price movements will not ruin the overall performance.
I'm only posting on here as a shot in the dark. Please do not contact me unless you're a local hedge fund, a corporation with over $5 million AUM, or a high-net-worth investor that would like to partner. We would also have to meet in person.
