GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

To provide clerical support to Technical Manager by using data entry skills and knowledge of safety and environmental recordkeeping. Have professional and courteous manners used to provide excellent phone, email, written and verbal communications. Inbound and outbound trucking assistance

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Answers phones utilizing appropriate professional skills to route calls, take messages, and handle requests reflecting the operating principles of the office

2.Creates Certificate of Destruction (CD) for equipment received at facility, assuring accuracy, neatness and timely work. Save to SharePoint or S/Drive correctly. Print record for distribution to generator

3.Data entry using skills to ensure accuracy and timely completion of duties. Strong MS office skills- primarily 2010-2013 Outlook and Excel. Familiarity with O365 a plus

4.Retrieves daily mail to code properly and distribute to correct account manager. Prepares outbound mail for USPS or Fed EX

5.Assist Receiving department by awareness of truck scales, capturing weights, maintain accurate inbound manifest or BOL tied to truck

6.Daily Steel shipment recordkeeping, including capturing weight and entry to ROM

7. Filing, using organizational skills to ensure proper recordkeeping

Qualifications:
HS education
2+ years office experience
**Background or experience in safety and environmental recordkeeping
MS Office skills (Outlook/Excel 2010-2013)

Safety and Environmental Experience details:
Our company regularly handles and disposes of PCBs - A state and Federally regulated chemical.
Documentation of the PCB is part of our standard practice and includes the proper receiving of the material, document tracking, disposal tracking, and certification and cert tracking. Reports are due annually and are quite detailed, requiring accurate data entry and timely return of documents and certificates.

The candidate should have a background in regulatory compliance/recordkeeping in an environmental department.

The candidate will also assist in keeping employee health and safety records and logs, permits in compliance, and help with safety training recordkeeping/data entry.

**A background in safety and environmental recordkeeping is mandatory.
