Contemporary and sophisticated Japanese restaurant Ozumo, in the heart of San Francisco's Embarcadero is seeking a strong and talented Manager with experience in high volume restaurant management. Japanese restaurant experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider strong qualified candidates. Ozumo has set the standard in Japanese cuisine in San Francisco for the past 15 years, and our ideal candidate needs to have the drive and passion to continue Ozumo's success.
-Supervision of all FOH staff and staffing levels
-Ensuring food and beverage quality, safety and speed of service
-Developing, coaching and motivating a team
-Achieving financial results, while managing all costs and labor
-Hospitality ethics including honesty, integrity and dependability
-Desire to grow within the company. Ideally we want candidate to transition into Assistant GM.
*Minimum 3-5 years high volume restaurant management experience.
*Strong leadership skills.
*Personal and professional maturity.
*Success in previous assignments demonstrating upward career tracking.
*Strong communication skills.
*Must be dependable, reliable and motivated.
*Extensive knowledge of wine, liquor and beer. Sake knowledge a plus.
*Able to work ten hour-plus shifts, with extensive standing/walking.
*May lift materials and/or product up to 50 pounds or more.
