Company Profile:
We are an established construction company operating throughout the Greater Sacramento Area, looking for a part-time bookkeeper to perform daily accounting functions. Work hours would be 20+/week, or as needed with flexibility in schedule.

Responsibilities Include:
Prepare Monthly Job Billings, showing percentage completion, retention, and send out upon approval
Prepare and Submit Pre-Liens on All New Jobs
Record Receipts and Make Bank Deposits
Compile Subcontracts and Subcontract Change Orders
Maintain Subcontractors Pre-Liens
Maintain Vendor Records, Files and Relations
Enter Accounts Payable, Prepare Accounts Payable Reports and Pay Upon Approval
Process 1099's
Review Time Cards and Process Payroll
Prepare Quarterly Federal and State Payroll Reports
Process W-2's and Annual Payroll Reports
Prepare Certified Payroll and Ensure Accurate Reporting to DIR
Knowledge of State Required Public Works Fringe Benefits and Apprenticeship Standards
Reconcile and Balance all Business Accounts, Including Credit Cards
Prepare Adjusting Journal Entries and Maintain Prepaid Accounts
Prepare Financials at Month End and Year End
Assemble information for outside CPA firm for Annual Audit
Purchase Supplies and Equipment as Authorized by Management; Monitor office supply levels and Reorder as Necessary
Support Owner in Administrative and Organizational Tasks
Additional Responsibilities may be Assigned

Required Skills and Abilities:
Minimum 5-7 Years of Public Works Construction Accounting Experience
Solid Understanding of Financial Statements
Proficient in MS Word and Excel
Detail Oriented and Organized
Ability to Communicate Effectively
Ability to Prioritize and Multi-Task
Ability to Work Independently and as a Team
Positive Attitude
Experience with Sage 100 Contractor A PLUS!
