We currently have a dynamic opportunity for a Senior Claims Adjuster with the ability to work from home once trained on-the-job. The incumbent will be servicing clients throughout Pennsylvania and other Eastern Seaboard States. Successful candidates will have prior experience effectively managing, workers' compensation claims to achieve optimal results. Experience in managing auto, property and general liability claims is a plus. Candidates will also need to recognize the importance of customer service, and be able to build long-term client relationships. Specific tasks include but are not limited to:
Monitor and direct file handling being performed by Carrier Adjusters, Appraisers, and Defense Counsel
Determine and redirect claim handling strategies to achieve results
Monitor reserves for adequacy and timely closing
Monitors and assists with negotiation of settlements
Obtains reports from experts as requested and secures reports on incidents or accidents investigated by local, regional and national authorities.
Identify claims with subrogation potential and direct activities to maximize recoveries
Maintain good relationships with agents, policyholders and insurance carriers
Successful candidates will have experience handling Pennsylvania claims is required. Experience handling North Carolina, Indiana, Kentucky and/or Georgia claims is a plus. Additionally, individuals must possess effective analytical skills to gather information, analyze facts, and draw conclusions. Strong negotiation skills and techniques, as well as legal and medical terminology is required.
