And now for the job description:
The partnership manager is responsible for strengthening relationships with current Sacramento Convention & Visitors Bureau (SCVB) partners, cultivating new partners, and managing partnership databases. The partnership manager will also assist in executing corporate sponsorship deliverables for SCVB and Sacramento Sports Commission special events. Position requires independent judgment in the course of carrying out overall responsibilities.
Serve as primary contact for partners, fielding inquiries and requests.
Initiate relationships with new businesses, informing them of partnership benefits.
Coordinate reviewing/scheduling all communications to partners to ensure consistency.
Plan and execute quarterly partner orientations and monthly mixers.
Maintain online partnership portal.
Responsible for monthly invoicing and payment processing and collections.
Prepare monthly newsletter to inform and engage partners and stakeholders.
Enhance partner presence on all social media campaigns, including but not limited to Visit Sacramento, Sacramento Sports Commission, Farm-to-Fork and SCVB related events.
Develop and implement plans to retain current partners, aggressively increase the number of partners, and meet annual revenue goals.
Assist Partner Marketing Director in executing sponsorship deliverables.
Assist and attend planning meetings with sponsors and internal departments to establish timelines, clarify expectations, communicate and coordinate logistics.
Document and prepare effective fulfillment reports for sponsors.
Work closely with internal departments to maintain and increase partner presence in all channels, programs and materials, including newsletters, website, Visitors' Guide, Meeting Planner Guide, familiarization tours and Visitor's Center and ensure that all service requests and partner referrals are being logged into Simpleview.
Attend all and assist with coordination of all SCVB and Sports Commission special events, including but not limited to Farm-to-Fork Taste of Summer, Gold Rush Days, Farm-to-Fork Celebration (Restaurant Weeks, Legends of Wine, Festival, Tower Bridge Dinner), New Year's Eve Sky Spectacular and other events as assigned.
Engage in industry organizations and associations to enhance SCVB understanding of partner business needs and provide accessibility of SCVB relationship.
Represent the SCVB at business events, conventions, openings, and galas, as required.
