Manufacturing company located in the Fullerton/Anaheim area seeks a Warehouse Manager to be responsible for all warehouse activities. This position is full-time with Benefits. The pay is competitive and depends on experience. Day shift but must be flexible to work as needed, including occasional weekend work.
The Warehouse Manager will perform daily cycle counts and reconcile counts to perpetual levels in order to accurately reflect inventory levels. Will ensure the receipt, coordination, and safe handling of goods coming through the warehouse, as well as ensure that orders arrive and are sent out on time to the appropriate destinations and in the expected quantities.
Will manage the day-to-day floor activities and provide direction to the Cycle Counters and Operations.
Will work closely with customer service representatives and external clients to research customer-claimed discrepancies through cycle count verification and audit of all inventory transactions for the specific time period, providing excellent customer service and problem resolution.
Will work closely with the Finance and Customer Service departments on resolving inventory variance issues by reconciling all inventory transactions to current cycle counts and will report related results to internal customers by way of established spreadsheets and systems.
Will monitor short-dated and slow/dead merchandise and provide weekly reports in Excel. Will coordinate with the Purchasing department and schedule the removal of identified items from inventory, will coordinate with the Returns department and move product to storage for return to originating manufacturer or vendor for credit and or replacement.
Will produce ad hoc and scheduled internal and external reporting.
Will oversee a staff involved in all typical warehouse functions including pulling orders, loading/unloading, packaging, shipping, receiving and inventory management. Will handle hiring, training, evaluation, discipline, productivity, safety, time-keeping and maintaining high morale.
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants should have a high school degree (A.A. or higher degree preferred) with at least three years of previous warehouse management and inventory management experience.
Must be very strong on inventory control, with a proven ability to organize and manage inventory using inventory control systems (Great Plains preferred). Computer ability to include MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Must be numbers and detail oriented. Bilingual Spanish is preferred. Forklift certification a plus. A positive, can-do attitude is a huge plus!
