Have your guitar lesson in the comfort and convenience of your home or office. You won't have to drive to a studio each week saving you time and hassle.
I'm a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music with 15 years teaching experience both privately and in various schools, studios and at Tri-C. I teach all levels and ages (10- adult).
I've had many young students who progressed to a performing level including one who won a "Grammy" recently. Also, I have several adult students who started with me in their 50's and 60's and in a short time were playing many of their favorite songs and improvising. You can learn to play at any age. Age doesn't make a difference!
I believe playing music should be fun. I don't start the student with learning how to read music but instead I start the student off playing good songs (songs the particular student likes) by ear and some basic technical practices. After the student learns to play he/she can easily learn how to read music (If they want to).
I teach both acoustic and electric guitar. They are basically the same instrument. The electric tends to be a little easier to play in the beginning but the acoustic can be easily taken and played anywhere. . .you don't need an amp or an electric outlet. The student should play the type of guitar they are attracted to.
I teach rock, blues, classical and folk styles or any song the student wants to learn. Jeff
