KIPP Voyage Academy for Girls is the first all-girls school within the Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP). The mission of KIPP Voyage Academy for Girls is to empower young women to be self-respecting independent thinkers with the academic, character, and social skills necessary to thrive in, and graduate from the four-year college of their choice as well as make meaningful contributions to their community and the world.

General Teaching Responsibilities:
Teach a challenging college preparatory curriculum that addresses the current academic levels of students
Teach reading skills to students using social studies text
Implement History Alive curriculum
Provide regular feedback to students about their work
Use data from reading assessments to inform instructional decisions
Communicate regularly to families about the progress of students
Model the school's values in all interactions with students, families, community members, and staff
Enforce and uphold school's values, policies, and culture
Be committed to enthusiastically working a longer academic day and year
Assist with student recruitment as needed including home visits
Assist with additional areas as needed

Additional Teaching Responsibilities:
Serving as an Advisor to 18-21 girls to help teach lessons prepared by school counselor that
address social skills, school values, college readiness, and transitioning into womanhood
Teaching an enrichment course or reading tutorial group

A passion for an all-girls learning environment
Dedication to helping children grow and learn
A minimum of 2 years of successful teaching experience in an under-served community
Experience teaching reading and social studies
Available to begin working no later than August 27
