Made about 1870 by the Japy Brothers in Paris France. This balance beam clock was built to commemorate the industrial revolution of that time period steam engines. Inside the clock is numbered 501 Medal of honor (in french) It's made of brass and sits on a marble base.Weight is about 25 pounds is my guess. It has been in my family for over 50 years and ran before being put in storage.
Most likely needs cleaning now to make it run. I found one like it on Christie's that sold for 3600.oo
