We have an excellent opportunity for you to join a growing global automotive supplier as a Journeyman Tool Maker in our Grand Rapids, Hagen Drive location.

Under minimal supervision, the Toolmaker performs complex machine work involved with the manufacturing of gauging, fixtures, and tooling to support the manufacturing and engineering function. The Toolmaker will also set-up new equipment and support manufacturing and engineering on new and existing product lines.
The Tool & Die Journeyman will understand and interpret complex tool and machine drawings.
The incumbent will perform complex machining to turn raw material into finished tools, gages, or fixtures.
The Toolmaker will work to close tolerances, ensuring quality workmanship on all tool, gages, and fixtures.
The Toolmaker will work closely with Engineering to ensure all equipment builds are built to exact specifications.
The incumbent has primary training responsibility for any apprentice in this trade.
The Tool & Die Maker will report daily activity to his Supervisor to ensure the asset maintenance system is recording all efforts.
The incumbent is responsible to ensure that his/her work area is clean and safe for himself/herself and others.
The Tool & Die Maker makes recommendations to continuously improve Benteler's equipment, tool gages, and fixtures.
Must meet selection criteria as developed by Development Dimensions International (DDI).
Must possess Journeyman's card.
