My name's Rich. I'm 25 years old and I'm a tidy, responsible, and reliable professional looking for some short term housing while I set myself back up in the Bay Area. I've lived in the Bay for close to 3 years now, and just returned here from some time traveling the country and visiting family. Professionally, I work under contract as a writer, mentor, and consultant within various industries. Currently, I am not under contract, and so my days are spent creating portfolio content and working at the library (basically 9-5), trying to secure a new contract(s). I just moved back to the bay 3 days ago and already have some interviews lined up!
In any case, I have the money to pay several months rent, as saving, and I plan to be employed shortly; however, due to my anticipating having a new job soon, I am simply looking for short term housing while I get on my feet, secure something a new contract, and find more permanent housing to go along with my new job. I'm thinking 1-3 months of subletting, with the possibility of something longer if its a good fit after I find new employment.
As a housemate, I'm respectful, tidy, and reliable. I clean up after myself and pay bills on time and in full. I'm very handy around the house. My hobbies include reading, writing, hiking, climbing, going to live music, road tripping, and watching movies with friends. I'm a fun loving person and I know how to have a good time, but I am not the type to 'bring the party home.' For me, home is mostly just a place to sleep, shower, relax, and eat the occasional meal. I have a girlfriend whom lives in Berkeley and who would probably stay over a couple of times a week; I'll also being staying with her a couple of times a week. I can provide references and will submit to a background check if necessary.
If this sounds like an arrangement that would be up your alley at this juncture, shoot me a message back here, or call or text so we can set up a time to chat or to set up a viewing of the space. I'm looking forward to hearing from you!
