Data Specialist Details:
The Data Specialist is responsible for all data entry at the site level for a particular program.
Sports & Arts in Schools Foundation (SASF) is New York's leading provider of after-school programs. Our mission is to help bridge the academic performance gap among under-achieving students and in low income neighborhoods through wholesome, skill-building activities designed to improve children's academic performance, health and wellness, attitude towards school, self-confidence, character and values, and opportunity for lifelong employment.
Primary Job Functions:
Enrolling all participants into required web-based databases in a timely and accurate manner
Entering the schedule and labeling activities into required databases
Set up class rosters and maintain attendance sheets
Record attendance on a weekly basis into all required systems
Assist After School Program Director to enhance programming through the use of Data Reporting.
Secondary Job Functions (SASF):
Attend quarterly trainings at main office
Produce reports on regular basis (weekly, monthly, and annually) to support After School Program Director
Be aware of mission of SASF, goals and requirements of each program, and work to ensure they are achieved
Interacts with: After School Program Director, Data Manager, and Data Coordinator's
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Attention to detail
Reliably meets commitments and accomplishes tasks on a timely basis
Microsoft Excel, Word, and other programs such as Google docs
Use of online databases, prior experience with ETO Software, DYCD Online and/or Youth Services a plus
1-2 years of database experience
