Position: Leasing Consultant
Location: Chapel Hill, NC

Position Summary

As the Leasing Consultant you will be the communities' sales representative, whose primary responsibilities are to greet prospect tenants, professionally present the features and benefits of the community and to secure a deposit and application, resulting in a new resident. The Leasing Consultant is also responsible for coordinating all activities related to apartment move-ins, move-outs and lease renewals as well as trying to reach maximum occupancy for the property. We are looking for a self starter and a good closer!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Generates and handles traffic, qualifies prospective residents, leases apartments, prepares lease documentation, and completes move-in paperwork and procedures.
Ensures model apartments are in touring condition.
Processes renewal paperwork and ensures documentation is delivered to current residents on a monthly basis.
Ensure the condition of leased apartments prior to move-in, including a final inspection and walk through with resident.
Maintains accurate and detailed records of traffic activity by entering applicable information into the computer.
Follow up with residents throughout their lease terms and coordinate the renewal process for each lease.
Assists with processing work order requests for residents and ensures work is completed in a timely manner.
Supports management by providing clerical support such as answering phone calls, filing, and processing property invoices, as needed.
May be asked to assist with planning and implementing resident activities in order to increase resident retention.
Perform other activities as requested.

Education and Background requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of previous sales experience preferred; 1 year of previous residential leasing experiencing is preferred.
