Terminal Operations Management is seeking an enthusiastic, safety-oriented team member to join us!

As a member of the Yard Operations team, Shags drive, position and park vehicles within the auto facility as directed. This activity will occur multiple times per shift, requiring the Shag to locate vehicles, safely drive them to their designated area, and park them. This work will occur on asphalt in a rail yard environment.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Drives vehicles to various areas and ensures they are parked in their proper locations.
-Reads and understands VIN numbers, purge sheets, work orders or other documents required to ensure proper baying or movement of equipment to staging areas.
-Assists in the efficient and safe transportation in the facility when operating customer or company vehicles by always:
Obeying posted speed limit (15mph) in and around the terminal;
Driving vehicle according to established terminal rules;
Operating vehicles according to company policy, including the ban on using ALL electronic devices (cell phones, ipods, earbuds, etc.) while driving.
-Safely and efficiently drives vehicles with automatic or manual transmission.
-During the work shift, maintains the interior of the assigned company vehicle according to company policy including not smoking and refraining from using smokeless tobacco in the vehicle.

Education and Experience:
-High School Diploma or GED;
-Must be at least 18 years of age;
-Must possess a valid state issued driver's license while employed;
-Must have a good driving record.

Job Requirements:
-Successful candidates must be able to pass a post-offer physical including drug testing as well as an E-Railsafe criminal background check which is required.
-Able to read, write and communicate (speak, hear and understand) English.
-Able to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.

Physical demands and work environment:
-Ability to climb in and out of automobiles continually on shift.
-Ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds of force.
-Position involves driving various vehicles in an auto yard setting including driving in all types of weather conditions such as extreme cold, snow, sleet, rain, wind and/or extreme heat.
