Minnesota Equipment, Inc., an Outdoor Power Equipment dealership, is looking for a
SERVICE MANAGER at their Savage, MN location (previously known as Weekend Freedom). We represent John Deere, Toro, Ariens, Gravely, Echo and Stihl products (lawn & garden equipment...tractors, mowers, snow blowers, 2-cycle hand held, compact utility tractors, UTV's). This individual should have past experience working in a dealership environment. Looking for VERY reliable, responsible and trustworthy individuals. This is a Full-Time position. Job Description: SERVICE MANAGER

Job Title:Service Manager
Reports To:Store Manager
Supervises:Delivery Driver and Set-up and Pre-Delivery Inspection Technicians

Job Function:

Assigns and provides work direction to employees in the Service Department, advises and recommends changes and improvements regarding Service Department processes to the Store Manager, and assists in the processing of repair and warranty work. Maintains accurate and on-time reports and records relative to the service department's operation within the dealership through; opening work orders, processing warranty and Product Improvement claims, maintaining Service Department records, updating customer profiles, maintaining department accessories and supplies and preparing Technician efficiency reports. Assists in selling repair parts to new and existing customers when needed.

Essential Duties:

*Opens work orders and maintains control until closed and invoiced.
*Processes warranty claims, including computation of charges, submission and follow-up
*Maintains the service library with information that is current (i.e. files bulletins, manuals, video
tapes, etc.).
*Maintains Service Department filing and records.
*Updates customer profiles using equipment, hours or other information from the customer work orders.
*Maintains accessories and supplies together with preparing replacement orders.
*Prepares Service Technician efficiency reports.
*Fields internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department
*Arranges for and participates in re-conditioning of used equipment and set-up of new equipment.
*Reviews all repair work orders for accuracy and completeness in concerning parts, materials and labor and approves the release of equipment for delivery to the customer.
*Coordinates and schedules all in-house technician training.
*Coordinates and schedules all equipment set-up and delivery of new equipment and assists in the scheduling of service equipment pick-up and delivery.
*Assists the Service Administrator in the appraisal of repair work coming into the Service Department.
*Contacts customer to review repair estimates
*Reviews department performance and personnel matters with Store Manager on a regular basis.
*Maintains current product knowledge of John Deere, Toro, Ariens, Gravely, Echo, Stihl and competitive products.
*Ability to perform varying tasks throughout the dealership.
*Coordinates and resolves interdepartmental issues (with Sales/Parts/Service Shop)
*Creates and facilitates the execution of Service Department advertising, marketing and promotional programs to grow labor sales for the organization as a whole.

Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to speak effectively one-on-one and before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
Familiar with John Deere and Competitive products.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Previous supervisory or management experience preferred but not required.
Ability to write and work on routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays.
Excellent inter-personal and customer relationship skills.
