Duties and Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot issues on digital conversion machinery for film and video machines that have customized hardware and software
Repair digital conversion machines such as Film Telecine and Video Decks as issues arise
Assist System Engineer on daily equipment tasks
-Configure and deploy workstations
-Setup, configure and monitor O/S installs
-Provide application and basic desktop support
-Perform hardware installs and cabling including upgrades and replacement
Maintain equipment to ensure daily workflow is not interrupted
Inventory and monitor parts for repairs

Skills / Qualifications:

High level of attention to detail
Adequate knowledge and experience using computer systems (Windows, Linux, MAC)
Previous experience working with small motor repairs and/or digital conversion equipment
Comfortable with tools to repair machinery
Minimum of 1-2 years knowledge of types of film (16mm, 8mm & Super8) and videotapes (VHS, 8mm, Mini DV, Beta)
Electronic trouble-shooting experience with micro-controller preferred (beginner to intermediate level)
Windows desktop administration (beginner to intermediate level)
RT and AT ticketing and tracking tools, or equivalent
Network configuration and management (beginner to intermediate level)
System/Hardware assembly (beginner to intermediate level)
Accurately follows verbal and written instructions
Team player
Ability to lift 40 lbs. without physical restrictions
Experience using Google Chrome, Gmail, Google Drive

Education / Experience:

High School diploma or GED equivalent
BS in Computer Science preferred
Electro-mechanical hobbyist or professional; active participant in the Maker culture
