Total Realty Group currently has an opening for an internship position. The ideal candidate for this entry-level position would be a current student of at least sophomore standing, be able to work 12 to 20 hours per week, and have some basic knowledge about commercial real estate investment.
Responsibilities include assisting brokerage in all aspects of day-to-day operations and working closely alongside Principals & Senior Investment Specialists. Duties include:
Production and distribution of marketing materials, upkeep and maintenance of website and social media sites, searching properties on LoopNet & CoStar, compiling comparables, assisting in the valuation of properties, entering client data on Property Base, running title searches on Commercial Pro 247, some cold calling, and administrative and clerical duties.
Successful candidates are detail-oriented, have an ability to multitask and prioritize duties,
have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and is a self-starter.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Completion of sophomore year of college and completion of introductory real estate courses.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. The ability to use a financial calculator such as an HP 12C or HP 17BII is a plus.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have excellent phone skills. Proficiency on a personal computer
With Microsoft Word, Excel, & PowerPoint, Drop Box, Gmail, Outlook, and the ability to quickly learn new software programs.
This is an unpaid internship, but college credit will be given. Candidates who are chosen will receive weekly mentorship meetings with a Senior Investment Specialist to facilitate learning about the industry and professional development.
