Tragic is relative; in-so-far as my songs are concerned, I am singing to adults and with a very unusual style but in the pocket.
I might describe my style as "musical". Musical in the sense of that genre, I write songs with a dynamic harmonic/melodic style, advanced chord progressions and melodies that encompass a large width of contour.
I'm quite trained, a scholarship student from California Institute of the Arts and taught college music for over a decade in California. I've been a classical guitar composer most of my life with compositions recorded by international virtuosi. But, composing instrumental music has no poetic concrete to it except in the titles. I have been songwriting as adjunct to my novel writing; words provide the correct expressive mode for me now.
I'd like to collaborate with a mature woman. I have done a collection of songs called "Death By Dating" which puts disparate couples together via Internet dating. So far I have only the male perspective. I can imagine a woman's perspective but an actual woman's perspective is best from a woman.
I play the guitar like it is an appendage, do orchestrations and can arrange very well and with my own voice. Maybe you strum the acoustic guitar; great! I am a tenor and would like another range of voice.
