Television cooking show production seeks pastry sous chef.

Duration of Project:August 20 - November 20
Compensation: $3500 (flat rate to test 18 recipes before the show starts being filmed and be available on set for 20 days)

About the show

Dulce Delight is a whimsical Brazilian daily cooking show. Each program is 23 minutes long and will be broadcasted in one of the largest TV networks in Latin America.

Dulce Delight is presented by the New York-based Brazilian pastry chef Raiza Costa.

Raiza has close to 175k subscribers on her YouTube channel and her fresh and entertaining videos have been viewed more than 17 million times and counting.

She has recently been invited to join TV chef and serial entrepreneur Jamie Oliver's Food Tube Channel - third biggest food channel on YouTube; and also DrinksTube.

Additionally, Dulce Delight was selected to Martha Stewart's "Martha's Circle" as well as has been featured on articles on NBC, The Huffington Post, Yahoo!, Eater and others.

Raiza was also featured on Gordon Ramsay's MasterChef on Fox. She was one of the four YouTube celebrities selected for Google/YouTube Brandcast Event at Madison Square Garden.

The host, who has a degree in fine art, peppers her show -- and its recipes for patisserie classics -- with bright colors, pop music, and her bubbly personality.

Dulce Delight is a production company producing a whimsical state of the art cooking show for both internet and television.
Dulce Delight team consists of 15 people. Most of them are from Brazil, but live in New York.
The aesthetics of the show and creativity are our strongest marks.

Job Description/ Role Purpose

The pastry sous chef will be responsible for testing 18 recipes during pre-production period: from August 20th - September 7th.
Once we start filming in the kitchen (Sept. 9th), the pastry sous chef will be essential in supporting Raiza during the filming. We will need you 20 days on set.

Qualifications/Requirements

Pastry chef certificate/training
Must be 18 years or older
Previous experience in pastry making
Must be willing to work in Dumbo, Brooklyn
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Strong work ethic: does not easily leave something uncompleted
Strong organizational skills
Aptitude for working well under pressure
Willingness to work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
Portuguese speakers is a plus
