Our Structural BIM/CAD Technician will be experienced in developing design drawings from conception through construction for a range of timber, concrete, and steel structural buildings. The position is in our Lebanon, New Hampshire office.. Some of the responsibilities will include:
Preparation and coordination of detailed structural drawings, sections and standard details, with architectural and other discipline drawings while managing multiple simultaneous projects
Transforming initial rough product using computer aided design into working documents
Establishing drawing layouts and content as well as review of shop drawings during construction.
Accompany engineers on site visits or perform alone, to create as-builts as required
Reviewing structural engineering drawings and design to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards
Implementation of detail libraries in coordination with the CAD Manager. Assist the CAD Manager in the development of company Standards
Develop, manage, maintain and improve technical practices, tools, and procedures while providing an exemplary level of service
Having knowledge of standard and industry established structural details, material and building codes
Preparing sets of preliminary drawings with foundation plans, framing plans, detail sheets, general notes based on architectural drawings and present the product for the engineer to complete the design
Being capable of producing structural steel, timber and concrete engineering drawings and structural design of small buildings or components
Checking drawings for completeness, constructability and accuracy
Performing other duties as assigned of a similar nature or level
To be successful in this role, you will have strong knowledge and experience using Revit with Structural knowledge of construction and design details in timber, concrete and steel is required.
