Job Title: GIS Analyst/CAD Technician

Location: Charleston or Columbia, South Carolina

Position Description: Tidewater has an immediate opening for a GIS Analyst/CAD Technician in our Charleston or Columbia office to support environmental regulation compliance and natural resource restoration services. A majority of the workload will be to develop maps and data packages for stream and wetland restoration projects and developing figures to support reports and US Army Corps of Engineers permit application packages. Additional responsibilities may include collecting and processing data and performing hydraulic and hydrologic analyses and computational modeling to support natural channel design and wetland restoration services. The position will require
communicating and working with a multi-disciplined team, to include: biologists, environmental planners, and engineers. The candidate will be responsible for managing their time in an efficient manner in order to meet project tasks and goals. Some overnight travel within the southeast is to be expected to support field activities.

Experience: Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in environmental science, engineering, or consulting.

Education: An Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college/university.

? Experience with ArcGIS 10.2.2 and Microstation and/or AutoCAD Civil3D.
? The ability to incorporate transportation design data, provided in DGN format, into permit figures.
? Good written and verbal communications skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software.
? Valid Driver's License.

? Demonstrated ability to independently manage time and problem-solve.
? Ability to filter and post-process large data sets.
? Experience with projects involving coordination with the USACE, SCDHEC, and/or county/municipal governments.
? Experience with wetland restoration, natural channel design and stream restoration.
? Experience with collecting topographic and environmental field data.
? Computational hydraulic and hydrologic modeling skills.
? Computer network administration.
