TJ Maxx, Family Dollar, Deals, Duane Reade, CVS and Housing Works are hiring: Shift Leaders, Shift Supervisors, Store Managers, Assistant Managers, Asset Protection Managers and Key Holders for stores located throughout New York City.
Workforce1 has partnered with Family Dollar, Deals, Duane Reade and Housing Works to assist with their hiring needs. They are looking for experienced and professional retail management staff to run their full store operations.
Manages store operations including recruiting, hiring, training and associate development. Is responsible to deliver results in sales, expense control, shrink reduction and overall profit and loss. Oversees the efficient operation of merchandising standards and presentation, operational functions and key areas such as front line, layaway and cash office. Assists in key areas such as Customer Service and cash office.
Assistant Store Manager:
BA/BS preferred or equivalent work experience within retail industry. 2 years prior retail management experience required. Flexibility a MUST. Strong verbal, written, planning and organizational skills. Passion and aptitude for leadership with a strong desire to encourage, train, develop and assess non-exempt associate performance. Fundamental understanding of retail store operations.
BA/BS preferred or equivalent work experience within the retail industry. Minimum three (3) years of experience in a fast paced retail or restaurant environment. Flexibility a MUST.
Asset Protection Manager:
Presence and confidence should support a willingness and ability to confront persons who appear to be involved in suspicious activity. Prior Security or Law Enforcement experience preferred. Prior retail managerial experience required. Must understand Shrink and Loss Prevention including causes and prevention.
2-3 years retail management experience. High school/GED Ability to read, interpret and explain to others operational directives. Previous store management experience strongly preferred in retail, grocery or drug store environments. Ability to work flexible, full-time hours days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
1-2 years of retail experience in a leadership role. Strong interest in the growth. Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
