POSITION TITLE:Bilingual MFT Licensed or Pre-licensed Therapist
DEPARTMENT:Child, Family and Trauma (CFT) Program Director, Family Service Agency of Marin
STATUS:Regular, Part-Time (Under 20 hours)
REPORTS TO:Child, Family and Trauma (CFT) Program Director
Family Services Agency of Marin is offering exciting opportunity for a Spanish speaking licensed therapist or registered intern to work with children, adults and families in the CFT (Child and Family Trauma Treatment Team) This position will work with children and families in CHAT (child abuse prevention ) as well as conduct parent / infant psychotherapy sessions for postpartum mothers and infants through our "Beginnings" program. The therapist will manage a caseload of approximately 8 to 12 clients and be trained and supervised in Trauma Focused CBT and Parent / Infant psychotherapy. FSA offers an excellent and rigorous training program consisting of six and a half hours per week of group or individual supervision, consultation and training.
The therapist in this position may be pre-licensed or licensed and provides outpatient individual and dyadic psychodynamic psychotherapy and Family Systems therapy in Spanish and English to children who have experienced abuse. The position is largely funded and accountable to the Child Abuse Treatment (CHAT) Program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Provide treatment to a caseload of approximately 8 -12 clients, clients, to include Spanish-speaking children adults and families.
2.Provide intake and assessment services to new clients.
3.Become competent in the agency's management information system and client record keeping.
4.Participate as an active member of the CFT team, attending program staff meetings, agency in-service education, and group and individual supervision.
5.Become thoroughly oriented to FSA and CFT policies and procedures, as well as health, education, social services, legal, and other resources in the community for families dealing with child abuse and trauma.
1.Registered in the state of California as an Intern or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with the Board of Behavioral Sciences..
2.Graduation from an accredited or approved college or university with a master's degree in a behavioral or social science.
3.A minimum of two years direct psychotherapy experience with diverse populations.
4.Experience in working with multi-cultural children and families, especially those who have been the victims of abuse.
5.Fluent in Spanish and English.
6.Experience and comfort with computer software programs, including Microsoft Word.
7.Ability and commitment to work as part of a treatment team.

Status: This position is regular, part-time, non-exempt. FSA position is expected to average 18 hours per week, including paperwork, consultation, trainings, and supervision. Work schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 10:00am to 4:00pm, with some flexibility.
