Prevent Blindness Northern California (PBNC), an affiliate of Prevent Blindness, is a nonprofit organization devoted to the preservation of sight. The PBNC Training and Certification Program provides vision screening training that includes an in-depth theory class and hands-on practice for certification in performing Preschool, School-Age, and Adults' vision screening This well-established program within PBNC is increasingly in demand by a wide range of agencies and individuals throughout California, and PBNC requires a dedicated staff member to help administer and grow the program. The successful candidate will not only be trained and certified in children and adults' vision screening, and prepared to present the training courses, but will also help develop and evolve the training program.

Full-Time (40 hours week) Vision Screening Training Program Coordinator
Reporting to the Program Director, the Vision Screening Training Program Coordinator will coordinate PBNC's Children and Adults' Vision Screening and Certification Program. The TC will be responsible for scheduling and delivering the training, overseeing administrative tasks such as contracts and invoices, cultivating new relationships with agencies desiring training, creating course content, and devising new ways to deliver the course through vehicles such as webinars and podcasts.

Position Responsibilities
Coordinate scheduling of classes between the San Francisco and Redding offices, as well as scheduling on-site trainings at outside organizations
Handle administrative tasks related to the trainings, such as finalizing contracts, requesting certificates of insurance and communicating with accounting to create invoices for the training
Maintain certification database
Track expiring certification and proactively engage on recertification opportunities
Communicate with agencies requesting trainings to explain the course structure and encourage them to engage PBNC
Research, prospect, identify and close training opportunities
Conduct online sales demos as needed
Follow-up, manage and qualify all training requests
Provide all training quotes
Track training requests through Salesforce
Main forecast in Salesforce and Excel as required
Conduct and deliver the vision trainings to agencies and clients throughout California
Cultivate new relationships to grow the training program

Job requirements
Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years' experience in workforce, or Master's degree with experience in education and/or training programs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel throughout California, staying overnight when necessary
Experience speaking in front of groups of people
Organized, punctual and reliable
Valid California driver's license
Experience with Salesforce a plus, but not required
Experience providing training service preferred, but not required
