We are currently seeking a full time Plant manager for our production department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for daily operations, general plant management and supervision of assigned staff.

Some duties will include:

Determine production plans and schedules, and assign implementation to Assistant Plant Manager and Production Coordinators.

Determine and oversee implementation of general floor plan.

Assign, review, and approve time studies of sub contract work in order to establish labor rate, overhead costs, and bid rates in compliance with D.O.L. regulations and budget requirements.

Conduct semi annual community wage surveys to determine applicable prevailing wages according to D.O.L. regulations, and submit results/recommendations to Executive Director.

Maintain required job file records in compliance with D.O.L. regulations and agency requirements.

Procure appropriate subcontract work through varied sales approaches to industry and manufacturers.

Submit quotations to sub contract customers, and maintain records file.

Determine acceptance/appropriateness of sub contract jobs, considering
required ability levels, safety, and costing factors.

Train, supervise, and evaluate all Production Department personnel.

Review quality control report and take appropriate corrective action as necessary.

Assume responsibility for over all plant maintenance and safety through compliance with health and safety standards. Assign and train staff to assure compliance.

Perform any other duties as deemed necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: High School Diploma plus two years of college.
EXPERIENCE: 5 years' experience in production/industrial management in a non-profit setting preferred.
TRAINING: First Aid, CPR
