We are looking for an outside sales rep to initiate contact with companies in our region and set up sales meetings with decision makers for our account director. We will provide companies and phone numbers, you will call, get the decision maker's name (director/vp/etc of marketing), get put through and do the initial "sell" on meeting with us. The initial call will be fairly "soft", in which we just want to source their needs and see if there is a potential fit for what we offer.
1-2 appointments set per day. It's possible to call 100+ companies in 4 hours, so this should be very doable.
20 hours per week, 4 hours per day. Calling should be done between 9 and 5, pacific standard time.
-native english speakers or english speakers with NO accent needed. Normally we don't care about this, but we've found that our target companies do.
- familiarity with digital marketing - web design, development, SEM, video production and so on
- ability to make conversation and sell with personality and ideas, rather than hard sell. We're not looking for a "Yelp" style of selling.
We'll want to test you out for 2 weeks and see what progress has been made, then evaluate from there. If we see good progress, this will be a long term position.
This is going to be hourly plus commissions. Hourly is low and ONLY to compensate you for your initial training time. The actual money can and should be made in commissions. We are willing to pay 10% of the gross sale made. Our project based jobs range from $5000 and up and long term marketing projects (retainer based work) can be $3000 per month and up. So, even 1 sale every 2 weeks can add up to some serious money with both project-based and recurring commissions. And if you're able to get 1-2 appointments per day, that will be more than doable.
