Advanced Prosthetics provides state-of-the-art orthopedic services including prosthetics, orthotics, post mastectomy products and diabetic footwear to Los Angeles and Orange Counties since 2005. We are currently seeking an experienced and bilingual front office staff for our Inglewood office located at Freeman Medical Art Building next to Daniel Freeman Hospital. We are not looking for a simple receptionist but a new team member to be part of the company's grows. Our small practice is based on highest quality of care and constant follow up with our patients. You may feel a family feeling here, not a corporation feel. 2.Excellent organizational skills, smart and fast learner
3.Have a passion to help others, relate to our lifelong patients, able to make patient-oriented follow up calls
4.Pleasant phone etiquettes, efficient scheduling, maintain office equipment
5.Experienced with insurance and benefits verification through Medicare, Medical, HMO/PPO/IPA, Workers' Compensation. Able to navigate and track constantly changing healthcare environment
6.Proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word) as well as paperless office management and electronic medical record systems (EMR)
7.Inventory control, collections, invoicing experience
8.Able to communicate in Spanish fluently
9.Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to establish business relationship with referral source, physical therapists, occupational therapists, physician offices, medical groups, IPA, case managers, business office and administrators
10.Excellent business verbal and written communication skills to handle correspondence to all levels of healthcare professionals including physicians and hospitals
11.Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare office environment, preferably in physician/ orthopedic offices, skilled nursing facilities, acute rehabilitation, outpatient physical therapy, home health agency or durable medical equipment office
12.Critical thinking and problem solving skills, professional appearance and demeanor
13.Knowledge of medical terminology
14.Multi-tasking with immaculate attention to details, able to wear several while focusing on main priorities and deadlines, reliable, dependable, self-starter and energetic
15.A team player with the ability to increase office productivity
16.Knowledge of HIPPA compliance
17.Legal to work in the United States, able to pass background check and employee screening process
18.Able to communicate efficiently with medical offices to obtain required documentations in a timely fashion
19.Able to pre-audit charts for billing with basic knowledge of coding
20.Punctual and ability to work from 8am to 5pm, Mon.-Fri.
