Job Title: Customer Service and Sales Assistant
Location: Hardwick, VT
Type: Full Time Year Round
Hours: Monday -Friday 8:00am - 4:30PM

Applicant must provide customer service and sales support to the organization by obtaining, analyzing and verifying the accuracy of order information in a timely manner. Initiates and/or implements corrective action as needed in order to ensure that an excellent standard of service and a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained. Co-ordinates the handling of difficult and/or unusual situations.
Skills and Job knowledge:
Applicant must have 2 years in the office setting and show the following skills: Professional , able to multitask, prioritize, organized, shows confidence , can handle deadlines and pressure, time management, consistent effort & dependability, strong written, mathematical and verbal communication skills, maintains confidentiality, pays attention to detail and has the ability to advance work independently while simultaneously working as a member of a team.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, ACT & QuickBooks
2 years experience in the sales & customer service industry
Sales Assistant Job Duties:
Shows excellent phone presentation and communication skills
Answer telephone calls and documents orders
Telephone or write letters to respond to correspondence from customers or to follow up initial sales contacts
Follow up on orders to ensure product made it on time
Prepare samples for marketing department sales leads
Restock sales product and inventory samples
Follow up on prospective leads
Strong understanding of company products in detail features and benefits
Tracking samples for prospect customers
Able to maintain constant energy and enthusiasm on all calls and work atmosphere
Good understanding of how customers use company products to present a high quality food product
Comfortable with developing an account base, establishing relationships and closing sales
Maintain records of contacts, accounts, and orders.
Advises present or prospective customers by answering incoming calls, operating telephone equipment, emails and other telecommunications technologies.
Influences customers to buy or retain product by following company reference training information.
Documents transactions by updating sales database
Cold call, direct email, and perform other lead generation activities given my management
Maintains quality customer service by following organization standards.
Forwards samples by entering request; arranging shipment; notifying customer.
Maintains customer database by inputting customer profile and updates
Verify customer information, including billing & shipping address , phone number and email
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
Records customer complaints and summarizes to senior management
Answer questions from customers
Resolve customer issues about orders or payment information.
Obtain names and numbers of potential customers from telephone directors or purchased lists.
Follow up to customer correspondence
Knowledgeable with Fedex & UPS shipping zones and systems
Maintaining day to day office organization i.e. filing
