Porters in the Forest has challenged and changed the way food and beverage fits into a golf course environment. Quickly becoming what Golf Digest has called "the Coolest Hang on 17 Mile Drive", Porters and its local California flair, is making huge waves in the local community. To take our operation to the next level, we need a front of house leader committed to a culture of leading by example and driving success through a TEAM environment.
This unique position will be responsible for casual and fine dining, as well as banquets. They will have complete authority and autonomy to create a magical environment. To be successful, they will need unparalleled drive, passion, and eagerness to work at the fastest pace. Their compensation package will be structured to provide long term financial security, with significant opportunities to share in revenue growth and operational efficiencies.
Although we are flexible with specific qualifications and experiences, we believe the ideal candidate should have:
4 years plus of experience in reputable restaurant environments with track record of growth
Strong bar and wine background, including purchasing, menu creation, and inventory control
Experience in both selling and executing banquets of varied levels
Committed to staff training and past experience leading the process
Strong comprehension and experience in developing budgets and revenue growth plans
Track record of efficient labor scheduling based on financial plan
Presence and confidence to work as peer with exceptional Executive Chef on restaurant concept and expectations
Sommelier and Cicerone background, or eagerness to grow in these key areas
Great track record with building great TEAMS
