I have a gently used pair of Salomon Rodeo's. The "CS" stands for ClimaShield, it is Salomon's proprietary water/weather proofing. It is very similar to Gore-Tex, do your research for more specifics. The "WP" stands for waterproof, which they absolutely are! This boot is designed as a snow boot but works wonderfully as a cold weather work boot and for hiking as well. I wore them for about a week earlier this year when we got that good snow fall. They kept my feet very warm and totally dry. They're very supportive and the tread is very good in the icy and snowy conditions. The boot also has a bit of Thinsulate brand insulation. 200grams to be exact and the days I wore them I was fine with a pretty light wool sock. The wool socks and Thinsulate insulation kept me warm throughout the days and a good bit of sledding as well. The tongue is gusseted which means it is attached by its fabric to the outer portion of the boot keeping water, debris, dirt, and snow out all the way to the top of the boot. The lacing works excellently and is pretty easy to manage with snow gloves on. The very top of the boot has a bit of fleece lining keeping the tops of your ankles and lower legs nice and comfy.
This is a reputable website that (apparently) sold these boots until they were out of stock! There are reviews, specs, and features listed along with pics.
I'm having issues loading pics from my android device onto a mac but I have about 8 pics to share if you email me with a request.
I'm moving south and (fortunately for me) will not need a winter boot any longer. Thanks for looking and please email with any questions you may have!
