I have a beautiful and amazing puppy in great need of a good home.
He was initially purchased from a breeder to become a service dog candidate, but we have just found out that he has Demodectic Mange. While the vet assures me that most puppies who have it will recover with their medication before a month a two and never have another occurrence again throughout their lives, there is a small percentile of them that get it back when faced with extremely stressful situations, and I would be keeping this lovable little guy if he wasn't declared ineligable to perform his job as a service dog... (and to be clear, This Mange can NOT be spread to other dogs or humans, or cats. It is strictly within him alone.)
While being someone's loving pet, he would probably never have another occurrence, but for us, he was to be fully trained as an alert seizure dog with the capability to be used at the same time as a balance dog. Being a service dog like this is sure to raise stress more than once in his life, and is a life he can not follow. I took him back to his breeder, but they said they will just put him down... and we don't want this!
He is a beautiful baby with a wonderful disposition as well as extremely easy to train. He currently knows Sit, Stay, Wait, is potty trained to go in the backyard, and to come immediately when his name is called. He is not aggressive in any way, either. He is just a lovable mush who wants to be someone's 110 lb couch potato. He could just sit with you all day long. He is also well socialized with people and other dogs, and brought up around dogs much smaller than he was even at 6 weeks
