Dinosaur Electronics is a small, family run business that is dedicated to manufacturing the highest quality RV replacement circuit boards available.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides technical phone support to customers for testing, installing, or repairing RV appliance controls or associated sub-systems.
Lays out, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, maintains and modifies developmental and production electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems such as RV appliance controls and test equipment.
Assembles experimental circuitry or complete prototype model according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronic systems and components.
Sets up standard test apparatus or devises test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production model.
Analyzes and interprets test data.
Adjusts, calibrates, aligns, and modifies circuitry and components and records effects on unit performance.
Writes reports and develops schematics to describe and illustrate systems operation characteristics, malfunctions, or deviations from design specifications for consideration by engineers in broader determinations affecting system design and procedures.
May check functioning of newly installed equipment in RV appliances and structures to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.
Back up other job functions, cross-train and perform other duties as necessary.
Minimum of Associates Degree in electronics or a related field or comparable military education and experience
At least 2 years of electronics technical experience, mechanical experience a plus
Excellent customer service skills, positive attitude and ability to communicate well
Self-motivated, team player
Understanding of analog and digital theory as well as AC/DC electrical circuits
Ability to solder with attention to detail
Ability to safely use common hand and power tools
Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills in English
Proficiency in mechanical fabrication and equipment wiring
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
