We are looking for a talented and reliable video editor to help produce our signature one-minute news videos. We are looking for someone who will excel in our production workflow and can help on more creative projects when needed. Our videos rely heavily on motion graphics, so experience working with motion graphics and proficiency in graphic design are key skills that we look for in an ideal candidate.Job ResponsibilitiesResearching and gathering B-roll for national/international stories.Maintaining organized B-roll library/media workflow.Shooting news anchors in a studio environment.Editing video clips and motion graphics templates into effective, attractive video news stories.Basic newsroom cleanliness and upkeep.RequirementsUndergraduate degree in journalism (prefer focus on video/multimedia) from an accredited university.Minimum 1 year relevant experience in deadline-driven video production.Significant working experience in Final Cut Pro X, Apple Motion, and Photoshop.Strong graphic design sense.Experience behind a camera and knowledge of lighting and sound design a plus.Have good interpersonal skills. Be a dependable, quick thinker with an eye for detail.Be creative with a positive attitude and a motivated team player.Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
