Graffiti Free NYC is hiring drivers for graffiti removal in NYC! Workforce partnered with Graffiti-Free NYC. Graffiti-Free NYC is the City of New York's graffiti removal service provided free of charge to property owners across the five boroughs. Graffiti-Free NYC utilizes a fleet of custom-built vehicles containing equipment that crews use to remove graffiti from exterior building surfaces. The job employs basic building maintenance skills but allows for exposure and training in automotive mechanics, City service delivery, work order/route management and customer service. Graffiti-Free is a popular program throughout New York City and Graffiti-Free NYC staff often move on to mechanical, trade and City agency positions based on their experience working for Graffiti-Free. Requirements : Reside in New York City and be familiar with New York City road ways and traffic rules Possess clean driver's license with experience operating a motor vehicle (enclosed Ford F150 type pickup truck in the five boroughs) Shovel and sweep snow for multiple hours and can easily lift 50 lbs. Periodically report for snow removal during winter months at 4am Must be able to communicate well and must have a strong work ethic, be able to self-manage and work well in small teams Preferred Abilities : Extensive driving experience Multi-lingual strongly preferred Ability to manage paperwork Interest in or propensity for automotive mechanics All candidates must wear professional or business casual dress to all recruitment events!
