Field Operations Assistant

In this supportive role, you will work with the Director of Field Operations managing critical data collection for EMC clients. You will be expected to ensure projects are properly timed and executed to meet unequivocal deadlines. We will depend on you to direct and manage telephone surveys, web surveys, intercept surveys and focus group studies to ensure appropriate research data is collected and set-up for analysis. Additional duties include but are not limited to:
Manage vendor bid collection process
Oversee quality control by managing monitoring and program testing
Write and submit proposals
Manage business development information, workflow and project information systems
Develop and produce department reports
Schedule projects
Contract for services/hire vendors and subcontractors
Supervise vendors and subcontractors for each project as needed
Negotiate costs and manage project budgets
Screen potential vendors
Manage department staff

Bachelor's degree or 2-3 years related experience and/or training
Excellent computer skills, including 1-2 years of experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and database management tools, and the ability to learn new programs easily and effectively
Effectively manage own time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently
Prioritizes schedules, leverages resources and stays focused
Thorough in accomplishing a task with concern for all the areas involved, no matter how small
Strategic thinker
Inspires the trust of others and works ethically with integrity
Ability to travel about 10% to field locations and EMC Research offices located in Seattle, Oakland and Columbus, OH
