SUMMARY
Reagent Chemical & Research, Inc. is currently seeking a bulk liquid chemical driver. This individual will perform (but not limited to) the following responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

1. Safety, Health, and Environmental Performance
Ensure all facility equipment is safe, reliable, and maintains integrity to ensure all product remains contained in the system.
a)Follows all safety rules set by company. Report any infractions to the Terminal Manager
b)Attend all required monthly safety meetings and complete all necessary training
c)Operate diesel powered tractor trailer combination within a given region while adhering to all company and federal rules and regulations
d)Follows all local and corporate policies and procedures, including the Reagent Driver's Policy and Manual
e)Adhere strictly to hours of service regulations and submit proper accurate documentation at the completion of each trip
f)Always drive safely and efficiently using the Smith System Defensive Driving Techniques
g)Use company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
h)Bring safety recommendations and/or improvements to the terminal manager
i)Conducts thorough pre & post trip inspections and reports any equipment defects to maintenance personnel
j)Continues inspection of equipment while on route and takes action if something is deemed unsafe or inoperable
k)Reports all accidents, possible injuries, driving citations, and any damage to equipment immediately to dispatch and terminal manager
l)Assesses the condition of the customer's delivery environment and ensures that conditions are safe to offload
m)Don appropriate PPE for handling Hydrochloric Acid, regardless of location or time of day
n)Applies knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill when maneuvering through difficult situ

-Drives gasoline or diesel-powered tractor-trailer combination, usually long distances, to transport and off-load compressed gases to customers in a timely, accurate, and courteous manner
-Follows all zone, local, and corporate policies and procedures, including Driver's Handbook,
-Exercises care with hand-held equipment and ensures accuracy of data
-Professional appearance to include Air Liquide uniform and good personal hygiene
-Adheres to work schedule
-Applies knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle in difficult situations such as narrow passageways
-Strives to meet customer expectations without exception by achieving positive customer satisfaction survey results consistent with strategic objectives
-Reports any customer complaints including run-outs
-Ensures all customer delivery tickets are accurate, signed, and provided to the customer
-Works cooperatively with supervisor and distribution staff to ensure prompt and accurate delivery
-Improves operations regarding distribution efficiency, teamwork with the distribution team, accuracy of paperwork, and customer support at the customer site on a continuing basis

2. Customer Satisfaction
Works with internal (customer service, drivers, loaders, and other facility employees) and external (customers, suppliers, and vendors) resources at the direction of the Terminal Manager to ensure timely completion of projects.

3. Cost Management
Works to assure the efficient and effective use of expense dollars spent on assigned projects.
a)Seeks approval and then tracks and reports project spend to Terminal Manager
b)Ensures equipment is being operated in the most efficient manner
c)Report any waste to Manager or equipment misuse that would add costs to the company

4. Other Tasks and Duties
Works at the direction of the Terminal Manager to accomplish those daily tasks required to keep the facilities in top operating condition, including but not limited to the following:
a)Communication -- communicates all issues, concerns, and improvement ideas to his direct supervisor for review, approval, and resolution
b)Be proficient in and assist as needed with loading/unloading trucks and rail cars
c)Be knowledgeable of all acid lines, pumps, valves, air lines in terminal
d)Be available for call outs to load trucks or make repairs if needed
e)Routinely inspects the facilities and improves overall housekeeping and appearance of the grounds and equipment

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION

1.Knowledge of pumps, valves, and piping
2.Knowledge of liquid transfer equipment
3.Knowledge of flow meters and calibration of such equipment
4.Project management experience a plus (not required)
5.Ability to travel and work at remote facilities throughout Reagent network
6.Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
7.Ability to track and report spend
8.Excellent organizational skills and the ability to execute on tasks
9.See projects through to completion
10.Maintain a high level of standard for site and facility equipment
