AffordableTours.com, an industry leader in the online travel industry, is currently looking for experienced sales consultants who can effectively communicate our travel partner's package features and benefits to potential clients. The travel sales consultants will manage the clients' accounts to ensure the highest standards of service and client satisfaction.
Travel sales consultants will work in a state of the art call center handling inbound client's inquiries. Compensation is a combination of sliding scale commission, performance bonuses and salary, which offers unlimited earning potential. Top sales consultants earn 95K plus a year. Extensive initial 6 week paid training is offered, as well as on-going professional growth and development opportunities. As part of their development travel sales consultants are encouraged to travel to multiple destinations around the world by being offered free travel opportunities.
Successful Candidates will have experience in a fast-paced sales environment, ability to interact with people from all walks of life, have excellent time management skills, capability to work independently and without direction, excellent verbal and written skills, attention to detail and excellent attendance record. Travel industry experience is helpful but not required.

Travel Consultants assist and direct clients in making reservations for one of our partners' travel products. (Tours, cruises, river cruises, etc.)
Provide exceptional service and quality customer assistance over the telephone and via email.
Maintain accurate records of clients, operator transactions and communications through the Affordable Tours internal operating system (ATOMS) and communication channels.
Effectively employ sales techniques, customer service and product knowledge to increase booking revenue.
Maximize revenue on a per lead basis by effectively utilizing sales techniques and offering high revenue supplemental products, such as travel protection.
Provide superior customer service throughout the booking process and during the pre-travel period to ensure a trouble free experience for the client and increase the chances of repeat business.
Provide consistent telephone communication to clients and partner representatives in a positive, knowledgeable and professional manner.
Provide, in a timely manner, accurate and complete price quotes through our internal operating system for clients requesting prices through the website or through telephone calls in accordance with Affordable Tours quality standards programs.
Efficiently manage through the internal operating system each client booking information including costs, commission, personal information, travel information, advisories and other client communications.
Reconcile in a timely manner any discrepancies in the internal operating system in regards to information, costs and/or commission.
Participate in organized meetings and training sessions to continuously improve knowledge base and sales performance.
Adhere to Affordable Tours rules and directives listed in the employee handbook and in various official communications.
